After moving to Baltimore in the fall of 2015, I quickly fell in love with the area landscape and fast-changing colors of fall foliage. One maple in particular caught my eye every day as I passed it by on my way to and from home. No matter how many times I tried, I could not capture its red brilliance with my phone camera, so I decided I must paint it.
