Abstract Florals
Painted from life, in my studio. I wanted to capture the essence of hydrangeas while they are in bloom on the bush, rather than as a bouquet, despite having cut blooms in front of me. I was especially drawn to illustrate shades of blue in a golden warm light, as seen on a summer afternoon. This is an acrylic painting on canvas, with gallery wrapped sides and the painting extends to the sides of the canvas.
